Robert Stack, CPA, Chief Executive Officer
Robert Stack is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Stack Asset Management. Rob is a graduate of the University of Iowa where he received a BS degree in Finance and went on to take post graduate courses in California. He obtained his CPA license while working at a Big 4 accounting firm. Soon thereafter, Rob launched his own CPA firm (Stack & Associates) and has been providing clients with tax and financial advice for over 30 years.
Rob has a passion for providing his clients with the highest value-added service possible and the opportunity to augment his tax and finance related service with a professional investment firm was a natural progression in the pursuit of adding value.
Michael Griffin, CFA, CPA, Chief Investment Officer
Michael Griffin is the Chief Investment Officer of Stack Asset Management. Michael graduated from San Diego State University with a BS degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in accounting. He spent five years at a Big 4 accounting firm where he obtained his CPA license before leaving his managerial position to begin a career in the investment industry.
Michael worked for twelve years at a buy-side investment firm where assets under management grew from $200 million to approximately $7 billion. He spent a majority of his time analyzing and projecting the fundamentals of companies and sectors as part of the process in determining the best investment candidates for the portfolio. During his tenure he participated in all facets of the firm including marketing, reporting, client engagement, compliance, accounting and taxes.
